My name is Amanda Schmaltz. I’ve been teaching for eight years, five with the OCSB, and three exciting years overseas in the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan.

I have a passion for travel, which I bring to the classroom to spark wonder and inquiry. A strong advocate of social justice and the environment, I believe learning needs a sense of adventure and good dose of humour if students are to become well-balanced, contributing members of the global community.

Check in here regularly for class announcements and important dates, and to see what we’re learning in Math and Language. As the year progresses, I’ll be creating a gallery of students’ work and building a list of helpful educational links.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at Chapel Hill at 613-837-3773.
